I am an underwater photojournalist from Cancun, Mexico, studying photojournalism at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Growing up I had the opportunity to travel to Africa and to the Galapagos Islands to experience pristine nature firsthand. These experiences along with growing up in the Caribbean sea led me to develop a deep passion for nature. After seeing my dad incessantly using his camera during those trips, I asked for a camera for my 8th birthday.
I started SCUBA diving when I was 14, and it was just a matter of months before I started my journey as an underwater photographer. While at RIT I used the time off between semesters to advance my diving skills and become a technical deep diver and cave diver.
The storytelling abilities I’m learning, combined with my passion for conservation will allow me to be a part of the effort to conserve the natural beauty and resources that surround us.
